Niton Read

Primary aluminum are sheet and extrusion alloys. Typically prime aluminum grades are generated from service centers, metal stampers, and fabricating operations. Secondary aluminum grades are usually cast alloys or contaminated alloys, with ferrous or non-metallic attachment. Aluminum turnings are also considered secondary alloys.

Painted non-ferrous materials are typically worth less than clean materials. Primary aluminum that has been painted or has a plastic film is worth 5-20% less than unpainted aluminum scrap metals.

To ensure the highest value, non-ferrous material should always be kept separate from ferrous materials. Our team will fit your facility with the appropriate equipment to keep these materials segregated. See full list of equipment.
