Lead & Zinc Descriptions
These specifications derive from the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries (ISRI) and are internationally accepted and used throughout the world to trade commodities.
Lead
Consists of clean lead solids and soft lead scrap. Must be free of any other materials such as lead covered cable, drosses and battery plates. Must review packaging specifications and regulatory status pertaining to shipping with the buyer prior to a sale.
Zinc and Die-Cast
Consists of miscellaneous base zinc die castings. Must be free of dross, chunks, turnings and skimmings. Any material with dirt, foreign attachments and volatile substances are subject to deductions.
