Shannon CollinsHer time on this earth may have been short, but the impact Shannon Collins made on her family, friends and community is everlasting.  The BL Duke Family was blessed to have had her as a member of the team for seven years.  BL Duke’s core values were modeled based on Shannon’s passion, determination, and commitment to the team.  She had a contagious passion for life and the Shannon E. The goal of the SECF is to assist individuals with the cost associated with attending a private high school, trade schools or university.  The assistance is provided through scholarships.  To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled in private high school, trade school or a four-year university.  The applicant must also be a full-time employee of BLD, or have a parent, stepparent or grandparent that is a full-time employee of BLD.

Honoring Shannon Collins

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the SECF Board of Directors solely based on merit and without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, or gender of the applicant.  Individuals must submit all required forms and related materials on or before Friday, August 1, 2020 to be considered.

The quantity and amount of the scholarships will vary per academic year.  The amount and quantity of the scholarship will be determined by the Board of Directors of the SECF.

For the 2020 – 2021 school year two $5000 scholarships will be awarded.

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
  • Student must have a parent, stepparent or grandparent that is a full time employee of  BLD.
